The Mayhem Ball is happening at The Capitol Ballroom — the grand ballroom inside the Courtland Grand Hotel, in the heart of downtown Atlanta. This is the room. Two hundred and something seats under chandeliers that have watched this city grow up around them. If you've been waiting for the version of Atlanta that shows up for itself, dressed up, together — that night is May 23.

The Capitol Ballroom takes its name from the Georgia State Capitol, four blocks south. When it was built, this corner of downtown was still deciding what kind of city Atlanta was going to become. The ballroom was the answer people reached for when a moment had to feel important.
You walk in and the room does the work for you. Crystal chandeliers you can feel the weight of. Long rows of mahogany judges paneling along the walls — the kind of detail that only gets installed when someone expected the room to last a hundred years. Brass sconces. A wood floor that holds a step. Twelve-foot ceilings so the chandeliers have somewhere to live.
It's not a warehouse with string lights. It's not a hotel conference room with a projector. It's a ballroom — in the oldest sense of the word. Somewhere Atlanta used to get dressed up to go.
In July 2025, the hotel finished a full top-to-bottom renovation. Lobby, rooms, banquet halls, the entire event floor — all of it brought back to the standard the room deserved. The bones never needed updating. The finishes did. Now both are where they should be.
This is where The Mayhem Ball goes down on May 23. A Black-founder-produced, Atlanta-native gala in a room that pre-dates every nightclub this city has built and torn down since. That's not a coincidence. That's the point.
